10 months later

Holy Cow! What a ride the last 10 months has been. I sit here on the property today, writing the first blog post since last Summer in Portland and in the middle of a full-blown Pandemic, which is still pretty surreal. However, the shut down and slow down that this virus has caused has absolutely given me SO MUCH GRATITUDE for this beautiful space we have acquired, and further emphasizes the importance of downsizing and lessening our impact.

We are currently working on a simple outdoor shower/bath for the tiny-ish house (The Sunrise House), which we have built- by hand… just the two of us (with some electrical guidance from our friend Dan).

I am proud and in awe of the hard work that has gone into this initial cabin. My husband is amazing, first and foremost, as this is his first home build and it is stunning. We hope to have it rentable by the end of May, and would love for you to come sit, breathe & social distance in a refreshing setting.
